“It was exciting!” he said. “When I walked in they were singing Bohemian Rhapsody and I thought to myself, “am I going to be able to do this?” But I continued to give it a go each week and before I knew it, the weeks turned into years!
“It’s become a way of life. When I go on holiday now, every Tuesday night I’m thinking, “I should be at the choir now, it’s 7.30. I wouldn’t know what to do on a Tuesday without it.”

“The atmosphere is what keeps me coming back; it’s so warm and friendly. I’m constantly making new friends and having a laugh!
“It can be really daunting, especially as a young person if they don’t think they have a good voice, but it’s so friendly. You can take a backseat and get a feel for things whilst everyone helps you to find your own individual sound.”
